  • Report malfunctioning equipment to the lead sonographer or supervisor

Pharmacy Technician III/Medication Reconciliation Technician

  • Conduct patient and/or caregiver interviews in a courteous and timely manner in order to obtain the most current and accurate medication history

  • Utilize all possible resources such as drug information literature, family, community pharmacies, physicians, physician offices, medication bottles, and individual tablets or capsules to compile a complete list of all prescription, OTC, and herbal medications

  • Retrieve drugs from stock, count, measure, package, compound, and accurately label medications

  • Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure safe and accurate handling of all medication and equipment

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized area

  • Efficiently supply, operate, and monitor pharmaceutical equipment and technology in order to complete and fill medication orders

  • Ensure drugs are properly stored, rotated, and disposed of in accordance to regulatory guidelines

  • Demonstrate proper aseptic technique in preparing intravenous admixtures

  • Accurately deliver medication and supplies to patients and other health-care facilities in a timely manner

  • Compute charges/credits for medication dispensed to patients, and ensure proper documentation

  • Communicate and answer basic inquiries from health-care professionals by phone or in person, and refer all other inquires to the licensed pharmacists

  • Receive and verify incoming medication and supplies, maintain accurate inventory and overstock, in addition to its documentation, and notify supervisors and nurses of stock needs and/or shortages
